  WARNING!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Where to begin. First off this company was selected for me by a third party through my lender. I was supposed to receive a phone call from "Carissa" who was selected as the person to give my appraisal. Carissa was supposed to call me to set up an appointment and then come out to give me my appraisal. Simple. Key word here is "supposed!" Here is what did happen: First I never received a phone call just an email that had a link to set up an appointment. Not a big deal. So I selected the link which took me to a page that said, "Your appointment has already been scheduled for this Friday." I never made an appointment and in addition was going to be gone on Friday. So now I need to try and track down who this is. There is no phone number and I haven't been contacted by anyone yet. I track down the third party company and they informed me that Young Appraisals was the company and gave me Carissa's phone number to call to reset up an appointment. So I leave Carissa two voice mails over two days and never get a return call. Finally on the morning of the second day I get a call from a lady who barely speaks English, (Keep in mind I am not racist, and have family members of the same ethnicity of the person who called me) and was very difficult to understand. After a lengthy conversation the person who I was talking to said they work for Carissa and wanted to come to my house to take photos and start the appraisal process. She came by later that day. Here is where it really gets good. This lady (who never gave me here name) began measuring and taking pictures with here camera phone. Yes here personal camera phone. After a few rooms I asked if Carissa was still coming by do a complete appraisal? She said "No. I will be bringing the photos and measurements to Carissa who will do the appraisal at the office." This was not OK with me. How can you give my home a proper appraisal if you never come to my house. In addition the person who was at my home didn't seem interested in my improvements or additions to the home. Furthermore after talking with my lender (after I told the lady to leave and I would be looking for another company) I found out that it is actually illegal for a company to send out an assistant to do there job for them. Ironically a few hours later Carissa finally calls me herself and has the audacity to tell me she would like to reschedule another appointment for an appraisal. I kindly told her no thank you and that I have informed my lender that I want to use a different company. Be careful people and use a different company. This company is a scam and I can say with confidence that you will not get an appraisal for what your home is actually worth if you go with Young Appraisals!!!

  Initially they were very professional, prompt and quick. We had some concerns regarding some points of the two property evaluations we had done. Specifically they completely missed adding a 600 square foot garage into the calculations, among other things. We brought this to their attention and they did not modify their evaluation, even though they had missed a 600 SF garage. They doubled down on their position, even though a major error was made on their part. They are great as long as everything goes fine, but they are rigid and unresponsive if there is a concern.
